Thanks to Zooloo’s Book Tours for the ebook and my spot on the blog tour.
This was a satisfying read in many ways. A domestic thriller that was a quick read, a strong contender for an introduction to the genre.
The characters weren’t all that endearing though, and I did have frustrations against the main character June and her children. Or more so, their treatment of her. But when I see characters who are treated like doormats, I wonder if thats the author’s intention? June is just a content woman trying to enjoy her life in her neighbourhood, like most of us! Surely we can identify we that? Keep quiet for an easy life?
The ending was a solid one and has made me interested to read more from the author.
